About the Project
A.P. Keaton & Game7 teamed up to capture the spotlight on the next great hooper at Nike's THE ONE tournament finals on the Pier 17 rooftop in New York City.
My Role
Nike's artistic direction called for the installation of over 8000 square feet of Viroc stone material surrounding the court. Along with the design & build team at A.P. Keaton, I digitized physical material into print-ready Viroc texture, and assembled 210 unique textures to be laid as seamlessly as possible.
Additionally, the project's scope included branding, designing and installing the surrounding areas, interior and exterior of the event space.
Reflections
THE ONE Global Finals was a fast-paced project, acting somewhat as a show of logistics and puzzle-solving skills. To achieve the realistic look and feel of the flooring, the production team at A.P. Keaton and myself tested different material and color selections to get as close as possible to the real material - cutting time and cost in the process.
